We've had our rescue Lurcher for a few months now, she's settling in well. A few issues with her being reactive to others dogs out on walks but we're dealing with it, have a trainer and going to classes to socialise her.
Since we got her she's been shedding a massive amount of fur, to the point now where her legs are really sparsely covered. It's now spread to her chest and stomach, big patches of skin showing.
I noticed today the fur round her nose has also got really thin.
I asked the vet but she didn't really seem bothered saying it could be an allergy but we'd see how she goes. The vet thought it could also be down to stress as she was found as a stray.
Anyway just wondering if anyone had experienced this? Have been reading that kelp is good for dogs general health so was thinking of giving her that each day.
Any advice would be much appreciated
