Food for ten yr Beagle

Hi All,

I have just adopted a ten year old Beagle boy. I wondered if there is a good anyone would recommend for his breed and age?

Also, he does this wheezing thing...... I checked with the rescue in case it only started since coming here but he did do it before. Their vet couldn't find any problems.

My last rescue dog sneezed as well but o my for the last couple of months before he died (aged 7). The vet checked him and couldn't find any reason so I wonder rid it is a Beagle trait?

Anyway, back to dog Food!

I'm sorry I have no idea about dog food specific to your breed but I used allaboutdogfood.co.uk to find a high scoring one for my dog. There are various filters on that site that you can use such as breed and age.

I've just moved mine from Acana onto a grain free food from a local pet shop which seems to be excellent quality and a lot cheaper than the Acana. www.petconnection.ie/category/dog/dry-dog-food/pet-connection-grain-free

My two ten year old collie girls are on the senior version and it has oils and stuff added to it for their joints. My friend in England has just ordered a bag to try and their website says it should only take a couple of days.

My 14 year old terrier has been on Burns pet food all her life and is in excellent health. They offer a full range to suit all dogs and she's now on the senior one.
