Whippet being castrated tomorrow. That's the right thing to do right...

He has a small growth on his side.
Took him to the vets today to get it checked and kind of got bounced into getting him castrated at the same time.
To be fair I mentioned tying the two operations in but am in need of reassurance.
He is so trusting, loved his vet visit 😢

I wouldn't do anything if I was not 100% so if you got bounced into it, don't do it because of feeling pressurised. Take your time and do it if & when you are ready. If you are ready to have it done tomorrow then fine but if not wait. That's what I'd do myself. If you do get it done tomorrow, then I guess it will only be one lot of GA. How old is he?

I'm with LaGattaNera.

If there's no real reason to do it then personally I wouldn't go ahead and have it done just because he happens to need a GA for something else.

If you were intending to have him castrated anyway and he's of an appropriate age then it's sensible to combine the two ops into one but don't be pressured into something you're not sure about.

He is 15 months.
Definitely need to get the lump removed and biopsy done tomorrow.
Castration was something we felt we should do at some point as we have with other dogs.
Combining the two in one anaesthetic makes sense.
