OMG the shedding

It is truly spectacular. How do I always forget just how bad it gets? I'm taking him swimming & furminating like a mo'fo' but there are fur bunnies everywhere. I just brought in the washing off the line Shock I might as well wash it all again!

I'm wondering if the hot weather last week prompted a big shed? He's a lab, currently banished to the garden while I try to change the sofa back to its original colour.

My lab sheds all year, whatever the weather and loads and loads. We hoover at least 3 times daily in the kitchen where she sleeps and daily once or twice in rest of downstairs - doesn't go upstairs much but some seems to travel up there too🙄
Our other dog who was pts last week was non shedding ( Airedale) and the difference was so noticeable
We use a furminator too but still....

Try sticking a pair of marigolds on and giving them a good rub all over. Pulls out loose undercoat.

That's labs for you, moult year round and blow their coats twice a year.

I used to threaten to hoover our old black lab rather than the carpet😄

How are they not bald? The amount of energy involved in growing that much fur is mind-blowing! No wonder they're so hungry...
