So for a dog I love Buddy, Monty, Rocky, Woody.

We are getting a bitch cockerpoo and I can't think of female equivalent names.... any suggestions?

Thank you

I like names that don't sound like human names?

(Sorry no need for question mark there)

Bailey, Pixie, Pepper,

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 18/06/2017 10:59

Any words that you like the sound of then. All the female dogs we know have human names apart from Pippin!

I would say Monty and Buddy are human names.

Bramble, Satchel, Jinx, Fido, Fifi, Fang, Lassie, Spike, Merry.

Bodypumpaddict · 18/06/2017 11:11

I like surnames - Parker, Piper, Jones.

Nothing that sounds too feminine (don't like Fifi)...

Not looking for an 'ie or y' on the end as would rhyme with our daughters name.

Something fun but that my OH won't be embarrassed to shout in public

I like Pepper... not necessarily the way it sounds, but the feel of it

My mum has a female dog called Pippin , Piper would be ok for a girl .

Look on dog rescue sites for inspiration, all the dogs have names.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 18/06/2017 16:48

Ooh I've got your name...Binky 🐶

Backhometothenorth · 18/06/2017 19:20

Our little border terrier is Olive which really suits her

Quite like Fox, Blossom, Coco and Alabama (slightly random selection!)

Bodypumpaddict · 18/06/2017 19:42

I like Blossom

Binky has made me laugh - it that a name from Made in Chelsea? I am very northern and very un-made-in- Chelsea.

Yes, Scout is awesome Smile

ArtyKitty · 24/06/2017 16:53

My four female mice were Scout, chihiro, Renn and yoko. Three named after my favourite females from film/literature. One named by my then boyfriend who was cross I wouldn't name them john, Paul, George and Ringo. Still love their names but chihiro might be a mouthful to yell across the park... My girl is named after a brand of whisky tho.
