My golden retriever has been on JB food since small but I'm wondering if RC would be better. This is partly influenced by most things the breeder telling us being terrible advice. AwesomePuppy looks great on the JB stuff, I'm just questioning the options.

I picked a high scoring food using allaboutdogfood.co.uk and then checked my dog was happy eating it.

Personally though if your dog is thriving on their current food I would not change it. The reason I changed mine from that of the breeders is because it didn't agree with him.

All About Dog Food is a good site for evaluating and comparing foods.

Out of the two I'd say Burns is preferable but it's pretty expensive for what it is and you can get grain free foods with a much higher meat content for similar prices.

That said, the important thing is that she's doing well on the food and if she is then you don't need to be in any rush to change it just for the sake of it.

Thank you very much. That's very helpful and reassuring.
