I thought I'd crack on with some sewing. I have had a plan for a year to make a maxiskirt. I got as far as the cutting stage and then Alice decided to help...

How helpful is your dog being today?

Mine is breathing magic into the paddling pool

Muppup has helpfully eaten a lot of that pesky cheese out of the fridge. She's also cleaned the kitchen floor several times by dribbling water all over it. She's helped me go for a wee several times as well as obviously I couldn't manage it without her keeping a close eye on me!

bigdog helped DH water the garden with the hose. Honest she did.

Littledog told us when the postman turned up. By barking A LOT. But let's face it 6pm on saturday is an odd time. She also tried to help dispose of the broad bean pods by carefully taking them and thinking about eating them (wouldn't have ended well so that offer was not taken up!)

Today my little helper dog helped me write a job application by sitting on me and giving me a million kisses. He also kindly woke me up this morning by throwing up on me

GirlDog DGAF and is willfully unhelpful.

Lol.

Mine has helped me by digging up the frangipani I planted yesterday and pooing in the hole.

She's now eating a bone in the sun.

I don't know what I'd do without her.

allfurcoat he's a cocker spaniel (working) cross mini poodle. He's such a little love!

Chiefly by helping D H to wake me up on the mornings he goes to work early. She flies in to our bedroom rolling around the bed with kisses and belly rubs until I get up to let her outside. I have pointed out that DH could let her out and bring me a cup of tea. Work in progress !

Ours has tidied the living room by taking all his toys outside and lining them up on the lawn.

To be fair he does this at least three times a day even in the frigging rain

Oh, and making sure I was up for this morning's solstice at 5am (wouldn't have missed that for the chance of an extra hour's sleep, oh no...)

The Sleighthounds have herded toddlers, tested the paddling pool and kept my floor free of irritating and unhygienic food spillage.
Big Sleighthound also helped with the garden earlier:
She watched me pull up the weeds and clear an area for planting.
Then she noticed me putting more plants in. Clearly I'd been addled by the heat so the clever girl followed me, pulling up all those pesky little veg plants.

They're now patrolling the garden on high alert for DH and DS1 to come home.

Mine licked the water off my legs and arms after I showered, she does it daily, most days I feel like I need another shower after she's helped me get dry lol

My dog is helping me eat biscuits!!
