I have a 19 week old beagle who was diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy nearly 3 weeks ago after having 17 seizures in 3 days.

She had had an MRI scan and various tests and is now on lots o medication.

It's heartbreaking to watch her when she has a seizure.

just wondered if anyone had anything similar?

My friend has a springer spaniel with epilepsy, he is now 12 years old and well controlled with medication. A few blips over the years, he was diagnosed at about six though so older than your pup.
Seizures in dogs, seizures in humans also heartbreaking. My adult son started having seizures about 18 months ago, he is on a lot of medication, has been a steep road for us all. My heart goes out to you because I can talk to , listen and reassure my son...much harder with our canine companions.

My beloved Rottweiler started with epilepsy when he was two.
It was heartbreaking and the tablets he was put on damaged his kidneys.
We eventually had him put to sleep age 4.
The Vet said it is usually passed on from the stud dog and to contact the breeders and tell them to stop breeding from it.
