Awww. I didn't know you got black bedlingtons! Only know grey ones!

LaGattaNera · 11/05/2017 17:39

I've never seen a black beddlington - looks very like my Patterdale terrier but very pretty just like my boy

CornflakeHomunculus · 11/05/2017 17:42

They start out black as pups then grey out as they get older. There's some information on it (plus some great progression photos) here.

LaGattaNera · 11/05/2017 17:45

wow that is very interesting Cornflake I never knew!

Kipperiscool · 11/05/2017 17:52

Yes, she will be grey (or blue) when she gets older! ❤️

lagatta , looks exactly like my patterdale x as well . Very beautiful .

rogermelliemanontelly · 11/05/2017 17:56

I didn't know they changed like that. When they are older they look like little lambs with pompons on their ears Smile

I work as a volunteer at a dog rescue and took him home a few weeks ago he had been there since July. I renamed him Rafael. Lost my staffie x in January. Rafael is helping mend my broken heart.

Our first family dog was a Bedlington Terrier. She was lovely and lived to a ripe old age of 15. She was such a character, she use to wait at the end of our drive ( never strayed) with her ball and bark at any passer by until they threw it into the garden for her. She was given a Boneo biscuit every morning which she would hide under one of our pillows. She wouldn't touch it until we returned home when you had to ask her where it was and try and race up the stairs to fetch it before her.
She hated the post man and paperboy and we had to put a basket on the door to stop her nipping their fingertips. There was always a race to the front door to get to the post before she did.
It is over 30 yrs since we lost her and memories are still so clear. I would love another one but my family are serial black lab fans.
