Cystitis help for my dog today

I think my dog has cystitis. She seems very uncomfortable and keeps licking herself down below. Looks very pink. Is there anything I can do to help her today? Obviously trip to the vet tomorrow. TIA

Try to get her to drink more water. Put a little milk into her water bowl and it will trick her into drinking more water. Vet will also probably need a water sample.

Thank you. She seems to have stopped licking herself now but turns around about 6 times before lying down. Bit sore down there.

Oh god I hate having cystitis so it must be bloody awful for a dog who can't even tell you what's wrong. Hope DDog will get better soon after a visit to the vets but I did ponder how easy it would be to get a water sample if they requested one Hmm

Are you sure it's not her anal glands. When my dog has cystitis she pees lots and pees blood but my mums dog frantically licks when his anal glands need done!

I get my dog to drink more by putting things in her water, usually carrots.

please be careful

I thought my last dog had cystitis, took her to the vets just to be sure, however it turns out it was pyometra.

The signs are scarily very similar except pyometra kills within a day or two if left untreated.

RoseDog you were right. She had an infected anal gland which burst last night. She has had two injections and now. I have to get antibiotics into her twice a day for a week!

Thanks everyone for your advice.
