Our darling darling darling dog was diagnosed with cancer last week.
I'm literally heartbroken 😞
She has been the most loving affectionate dog I have ever known.
Vet has said we have to take a wait and see approach now as to when the time is right to say goodbye.
I'm just not ready!
She seems so perfectly fine it's just not fair!
The only sign there was anything wrong is a visible lump on her side

Yes I can imagine the emotions are all over the place at the moment. Glad that it is more positive even though you have the surgery to get through first Flowers

Atleast now we can have hope, which we didn't have before.

Oh, I really hope that goes well for you. Keep us posted.

Incredibly nervous about the operation and the future but so relieved we actually atleast have a chance now after the hopelessness we all felt last week

I've just caught up on your thread OP and what fantastic news. So pleased for you all, esp ddog! Hope the op goes well.

Cuntingcancer · 29/03/2017 08:49

Thank you! The op has been delayed till next week as ddog developed an infection around the tumour. She's on antibiotics now to get it under control and will hopefully go in early next week.

Hope the antibiotics do the trick. Good luck for next week Flowers

SparePantsAndLego · 29/03/2017 23:13

Never simple... Hope all goes to plan next week. We had a near squeak with our girl this time last year. I haven't stopped appreciating her yet!

Ddog is now officially cancer free GrinGrin still struggling with crate rest but we are through the worst

Fantastic news. Crate rest is the work of the devil but thankfully it'll pass. Really pleased for you all, especially ddog!

BestIsWest · 14/04/2017 13:49

Oh so pleased for you! We lost our DDog to cancer at the age of 10 about 18 months ago so I know what you've been through.

May she have a long and happy life with you now.

Spyinthesky · 14/04/2017 14:09

It's been a complete whirlwind for the last few weeks, she's had a drain fitted to relieve some of the fluid build up after surgery but appears to be on the mend. No longer on strict crate rest, but still not allowed to jump up on the sofa etc.
