Crazy dog?

My 1yr old DDog has developed a new (annoying) habit. She will go up to the corner of a room and scratch crazily at the wall, always the corner- she is well walked/fed/paid attention with. Is she just crazy? (And destroying my paint work) or do I have ghosts living in the cavities of my walls... send help. Thanks

What happens when she does that? Could it be attention seeking?
Can you prevent her getting to the spot?

It's strange, she'll just be sitting down happily lazing around then get up, walk to the corner and scratch like crazy! I tell her a firm "no" and move her away then she looks at me sheepishly and will return a couple of minutes later. If I put something in front of the corner in the front room, she'll go to the corner in the hallway?! Crazy dog.
She's been on some medication for a rash so I hope she's not hallucinating or something my poor loony princess ! Grin

It gets your attention though.
Can you stop her before she gets there and offer her a toy or do some training and give her positive attention for positive behaviour.
Or keep her on a longline and away from corners!
BTW I am not expert. There's a great FB page called dog training support and advice. Proper experts will give you proper advice.

Or maybe she itches but it hurts when she scratches so she digs instead? My pup scratches the floor when her teeth play up! (Teething stage!)
