We have adopted this little pup and he arrives this weekend.
I've attached pics of him and his mum, can anyone pick out what breeds he might be a mixture of?!
I have no clue.

I can't add any more pics.

Mum looks like a cross between a terrier and a whippet or something. Quite tall and skinny and rough coated white with brown

No idea but awww! I want them both, how cute. Congratulations on your new family member.

LizzieMacQueen · 07/03/2017 19:53

German shepherd maybe??

Mumteedum · 07/03/2017 19:54

You sure that's the mum? Both look like pups to me. Collie colouring on 'mum' but bit German shepherd at a guess on your pup. He's cute but I'd think he'll be a large breed?

Patriciathestripper1 · 07/03/2017 19:56

Definitely got sheepdog breeding. The blue Merle collie often has a blue eye. Not sure what else is in there but would say definitely half collie

Juveniledelinquent · 07/03/2017 19:57

Puppies are just sooooooooo cute. Congratulations.

Purplehonesty · 07/03/2017 20:17

Sorry that's my pup and my friends pup

It wouldn't let me upload any more pics so the one of mum isn't on.

Yes I thought maybe collie x something especially in his brother

Rescue said he will be a small - medium size when grown.....hmm

TattyCat · 07/03/2017 21:16

Not sure which one you're talking about! The one with the blue eye I would say definitely has collie in there, but the brown one... not sure. German Shepherd/Collie perhaps?

tabulahrasa · 07/03/2017 22:06

They might not both be the same cross...

Oh and yours has awfy big paws for a small to medium breed puppy, lol

Sparklydress · 07/03/2017 22:07

So nice to see a rescue puppy thread. Well done for doing that. Flowers

Purplehonesty · 08/03/2017 06:14

Are they from Romania or somewhere else abroad?
Look up Kokoni's, there was a thread about them on here a while ago

Purplehonesty · 08/03/2017 17:14

Romania yes.
You might be right I've just found some of the Kokoni breed pics and they do look similar
Off to research thanks

Found lots of kokoni pics and I'm pretty sure you have got it right!
Thank you so much!!

BagelGoesWalking · 08/03/2017 22:05

If they're from Romania, I would suggest Kokoni is unlikely as they seem to be just in Greece/Cyprus.

More likely to be a mix of collie, Caucasian Ovcharka, GSD and other sheepdog types. Many, many Rommies have a similar look with the dark "mask"

tabulahrasa · 08/03/2017 22:37

Also - don't forget, they're puppies, they might end up looking nothing like they do now Smile

KindDogsTail · 08/03/2017 22:41

I too was going to say they do not look English!
How sweet your puppy is!

Purplehonesty · 09/03/2017 20:36

He is pretty cute!! I just can't wait until he gets here.

I'm trying to post a more recent pic of him that the kennels sent it mumsnet keeps saying I have already uploaded six pics today Confusedwhen I haven't added any!

Found this kokoni pic and it looks just like him!
Sorry to the person who said it was unlikely but I think these are really similar!!

Still very cute but I agree with Bagel that Kokoni are rare outside of Greece/Cyprus. I am involved with a Cypriot rescue and see lots of them, gorgeous dogs.

You could get DNA testing? I have a scruffy street dog that I am interested to know about, I must ask my vet about it.

Purplehonesty · 11/03/2017 07:43

Ahh ok I see. Thank you!
