Come and admire my gorgeous greyhoundy foster girl Grin She's come back to rescue through no fault of her own, is 6 months old and absolutely gorgeous.
House trained, walks very nicely on the lead, sleeps all night, cat safe, kind to children, recalling very well, loves to play fetch and super cuddly.
She's going to be a big girl, but is stunningly beautiful with a lovely nature.

Lurking shamelessly. I can't believe Tally is still with this rescue. I stalked the pages of every rescue I could find prior to caving and getting the wolfhound I was desperate for.
I do so love a pointy though. Really. Truly. Deeply.

UnbornMortificado · 17/02/2017 23:46

I love pointy hounds. My parents have to rescues. Not without their issues!

Below is there oldest sadly mistreated, the only person he actually likes is my dad. Unless there is food on the go then he will be your best friend.

My mam swears he's got the canine version of bi-polar.

He's originally called Bull.

Wolfiefan · 17/02/2017 23:47

Oh my. George is gorgeous.

Wow unborn. Another beautiful hound.

UnbornMortificado · 17/02/2017 23:53

Maddie & Jess's story is heartbreaking.

So pleased they were found in time.

Bull was mistreated and a lot thinner but no where near as bad as those poor old girls. People can be utter bastards Angry

UnbornMortificado · 18/02/2017 00:27

Wolfies he's really hard work, he hates me for no reason. Probably because whenever I come over I bring the little noisy humans with me.

He is a handsome boy though.

CMOTDibbler · 18/02/2017 13:01

George and Bull are lovely.

I just had a new collar delivered, and this is Kiki trying it on 💕

UnbornMortificado · 18/02/2017 15:09

CMOD is that one of the martindale collars?

My mam gets her pointys them for special occasions. She only has two of them Confused

Yes, its a lovely martingale from Meggie Moo (and matching french navy lead). Your mams collection is lovely. Mine have quite a few collars - ddog1 looks good in anything but very pale colours, but ddog2 is dark blue and its harder to find ones that are great on him - orange seems best, along with a rainbow collar

She's like a canine supermodel. So elegant Smile

Def look at EGLR Miaow, theres no age limit with them, its all about the dog and the children, and certainly the puppies with me have to live with a 10 year old and get out and about meeting all sorts of children. And if you have a homecheck done already by a pointy group, you can make just one journey

gailforce1 · 22/02/2017 18:18

CMOT did I see from EGLR that your lovely foster girl gone to her forever home?

CMOTDibbler · 22/02/2017 19:03

She has! A absolutely lovely couple and their 9 year old lurcher have whisked her off to the seaside. They already had a homecheck and were coming a long way, so they came, they saw, they took her home.

I'm now enjoying a break between fosters, and not sweeping up mud umpteen times a day. But who knows what the next phone call will bring...

Miaow, how did your homecheck go?

gailforce1 · 22/02/2017 22:16

So pleased that she found a lovely home and will enjoy living at the seaside!
Enjoy your time off though I doubt it will be for long as there seem to be more dogs than ever coming into rescues.

olliegarchy99 · 12/03/2017 07:40

sorry to resurrect an old thread but there were 3 gorgeous pointy hounds being interviewed on Crufts last night (following on from the sublime running of a greyhound in the flyball). Clare Balding (who has had lurchers herself was talking to a very enthusiastic hound lover who had the most adorable grey nestled on her lap Smile (and 2 other retired greyhounds looking for homes with her)) - they were so beautiful and calm I wanted to rehome them immediately.
I do hope bringing the wonderfulness of these beautiful hounds will persuade others to take them on.

JemIsMyNameNooneElseIsTheSame · 18/03/2017 12:44

I've just been speaking with a Greyhound rescue and am having a homecheck soon. Have totally fallen in love with Pointys. It's just me and my son at home and he is so in love with all dogs. Not going to mention anything to him yet as don't want to get his hopes up, but I'm so excited and have nobody to share it with!
