Elderly neighbour wants to rehome his dog

Would be very grateful for any advice. Neighbour has tried phoning RSPCA, dogs trust and blue cross, but I think he gets confused easily and keeps getting given different phone numbers.

Is there any charity that would come out to his home and chat with him in person about it?

TIA. In south East.

The cinnamon trust may be able to advise. They actually aim to keep pets and elderly fold together by supporting them and ensuring the pets welfare after the owners death, but they may well be relevent.

The Cinnamon Trust would be worth a try. They usually work to keep pets with their elderly owners, but they have a network of volunteers that might be able to help him navigate calling rehoming centres.

Great minds, pickle me

That sounds perfect, thank you both. I am sure he would prefer to keep the dog as long as possible.

Cinnamon trust are a good shout. Otherwise Arundawn in West Sussex

www.arundawndogrescue.co.uk

Or All dogs matter in North London

alldogsmatter.co.uk

are both very good

I do hope they are able to support him. I'm having a little cry at the thought...
