Worth changing current insurer?

I have two male neutered dogs.
Pug mix and staffy mix.
Both just over 3 years old.
Premium started at £21 per month and it has gone up annually each year.
Now it's £27 per month.

£12500 vet fees per year
£3m third party liability.
£1500 advertising and reward.

Didn't opt for other stuff.

Just wondering if 27 quid per month is good/ reasonable?
Or worth looking around?

Forgot to mention lifetime cover.

Do they have any pre-existing conditions - any vet visits apart from routine health checks or anything else that will be noted on their clinical records?

Yes, you have to be careful of changing insurer if there have been vet visits. They will make a list of exclusions, and they will be quite generalised too (eg. "all claims relating to ears" if the dog once needed ear drops). I think the price sounds quite OK for that level of cover, personally. And not all pet insurers are the same when it comes to getting them to pay out.

That's a good level of cover, I wouldn't go for less unless you're in a position to find thousands from your own pocket. I have £12k vet fees cover and thought this was a substantial amount. My dog is currently hospitalised in a specialist vets with a suspected liver problem that they are still trying to diagnose. We have got through £7k in six days, and that's before even starting to treat the illness. We're going to be dipping into our own funds at this rate.

My 3 year old dog's is £42 per month and only has 7k cover (lifetime policy) - it started at £35 and due to him being rather accident-prone it's gone up so yours seems extremely good value to me!

I wouldn't - that is great cover and great price in my experience

That sounds like a good deal to me.

It is with Agria but I took it over three years ago when they were puppies.
They increased the amount for vets fees automatically year on year.
I think it was only £7.5 back then.
Now it's £12.5k.

I didn't bother with all other stuff like boarding, breeding costs, loss on death etc.

£27 a month for lifelong cover is VERY good esp for a Pug mix. Don't change!!!! Agria are decent to deal with.
Some companies will not insure anything with Pug or French Bulldog in them.
