Is there anything a dog won't eat?

I know theres stuff they shouldnt eat, but the only thing our dog has not tried to eat is other dogs' poo.

He eats all human food, preferably before the carefully chosen doggy delicacies we have. This afternoon he tried to eat a broccoli stem, a shallot and managed to make off with half a bag of cheese and onion crisps that I was not eating, no no I'm on a diet .

What does your dog try to make off with?

Ours is an 8 month old Labradoodle.

Parsnips. None of mine will eat them

So envious, Eric will eat next to nothing and pretty much no dog food will pass his lips. I can leave anything out and he won't even bother sniffing it never mind helping himself and actually eating it. He does though steal the cutlery if that's left out where he can get it Hmm

Labrador will eat pretty much anything- including paper, pen lids, contact lens pots etc but will not eat spinach or celery. Strangely it's specifically spinach that is a problem- loves rocket and romaine lettuce for example, hates spinach Confused

Ours is pretty food-obsessed but he draws the line at citrus fruit, courgettes, tomatoes, olives, any leaves of any kind, basically stuff without a crunch - he's tried them all but after gamely chewing them for a while he spits them out with a look of extreme disappointment on his face. He did the same when a kindly dog owner gave him a treat in the park this morning Blush.

However he adores carrots, broccoli, red pepper etc and is the easiest dog in the world to give medicine to - putting a pill in a blob of squeezy cheese ensures it goes down without touching the sides Grin

One of mine ate a pooey condom with giz in it. (Not mine, my flatmate!)
And it came out intact. Covered in shit. Worst poo pick up ever.

The other licks other dogs' wees off of lampposts etc

Neither will eat mushrooms.

Adores broccoli and cabbage.
Loves the bunny maltesers the rabbits kindly scatter in the fields, especially fresh.
Cow shit sorbet on frosty mornings.
Desiccated stoat: that was a discovered delicacy argued over by two dogs, two mornings running until it was all gone.

GirlDog won't eat Sugar snap peas Hmm chews them up and then spits them out.

BoyDog was a street dog, Sad so actually doesn't like dog food very much. He was so used to living off disguarded take-aways that all he really wants to eat is fried chicken and pizza.

GirlDog has a bit of a ting for Thai curry. The hotter the better. Weirdo.

My lab won't eat lettuce unless it has olive oil on it and falls on the floor.

Pills get dispensed in liver pate balls.

The first time he vomited I rushed to get the bucket and cleaning stuff only to find out on my return he had eaten it all up!

My in-laws black lab was awful. She would eat anything.
She once ran off & they found her round the back of the local golf club drinking from a vat of used cooking oil.
This resulted in a very upset stomach for the dog and a new carpet for MIL.

I once rushed the dog to the vets with red flecks in his poo. He seems fine though and got sent home (with bill!).

Next day he had yellow flecks. Another vets bill.

Day three I caught my 3 year old feeding him crayons. And yes the poo came out with purple flecks!
