Dog toys to alleviate boredom

My poor old black lab has sprained his ankle rather badly. It's swollen up and he's limping. Vet says he can't be walked until the swelling goes down! On a lead, sedate and boring small frequent walks only.

Oh dear. He's so depressed. He usually hares about and goes bonkers on walks.

What toys do you recommend for adult dogs to keep them occupied and stimulated, please?

Have you tried Kongs? Fill it with his food and freeze it, there are loads of kong filling ideas if you google it.

You could try feeding him from a puzzle ball rather than his bowl as long as he doesn't go too bonkers with it.

The Kong Wobbler and Ottosson Dog Pyramid are both brilliant for this.

This one and this one are really good if you have hard floors or your dog likes to smack them against the skirting boards as they're soft rubber rather than hard plastic.
