Pup just ate a chicken carcass!

Help, my 8 month old Cockapoo managed to grab a roast chicken carcass from the side while we were out of the room. From what I can see, he's devoured a whole leg and maybe some smaller bones from the body. I was only out of the room 20 minutes and came back to find the carcass and remaining leg in the floor.

I know cooked chicken bones are about the worst for dogs. What can I do? Is it just a case of watching him over the next day or two and seeing whether he passes them? If he's ground them up, which I hope, I might not see anything though.

The same thing happened to someone else on here the other week and their dog was fine so fingers crossed.

My experience with my dog that had a bone stuck (thanks mum), was that she ate but then was violently, noisily sick.

Fingers crossed for you! More likely than not, that it will all just pass through.
