Golden retriever, almost 6. Just found these patches. Taking her to the vet tomorrow.

Looks like mites to me

Scabs from a scrape or cut?

Definitely not a scrape or cut. How would mites be treated?

it looks a bit like malasezia (sp). Its like a yeast infection (i think!) and you can treat it with malaseb shampoo which you'll need to get from your vet.

Looks like ringworm, a fungal infection - it's annoying but not harmful but can affect humans so wash your hands well and wash her bedding etc too

the second pic looks more like sebborreah again you can trwat with shampoo!

Thanks for all the replies. It doesn't seem to be itchy but she flinches if you touch it.

of course we will all be waiting for younto report back from the vet tomorrow.

Vet said either a bacterial or fungal infection and has prescribed shampoo to treat. If not starting to clear after three weeks she'll take skin scrapings etc
