Good bye my lovely boy

Just made a hard but so right decision this morning to put to rest my 13 YO English Springer Spaniel. He was a delight and charming to the end, eating seconds before he died. He only had about 1 good leg left, and losing weight rapidly, but he still was continent and had his dignity. The vet was great. A picture in homage. Springers are great pets if you can handle the energy!

Moanranger. So sorry for your loss. We lost an old girl in December 2014 - it still hurts. Springers are great, aren't they.

Thanks. Over the worst of the grief - not so teary now, but it's the little things that unsettle - what to do with our scraps of egg & bacon this morning for example.
Standard sprinters are the clowns of the dog world, utterly shameless in trying to get a laugh.
