Keeping foxes out

We have foxes living on the other side of the fence. Any clever tricks for deterring them please? as 4 German shepherds don't put them off.

TIA

Why do you want to deter them? We have foxes in our garden with no issues.

We tried all sorts, but they finally left when we concreted over their living space (nor cos we're mean but because we needed to). They tried everything to get back in it, tho. Tenacious little buggers.

Dogs like to rub themselves in fox poo. I would do everything possible not to have fox poo in my garden.

Sorry OP no idea how to deter them, what does google say?

AdoraBell · 01/12/2016 22:29

Because of the fox poo and because the holes they dig under the fence are large enough for our smaller dog to get out, onto a busy main road or the neighbour's garden. Said neighbour has already complained that since we bought the house she can't let her dogs run loose in our garden because we fixed the fenceHmm

I think you have to bury mesh fencing to a depth of 3feet and at an angle to keep them out. Try googling fox proof fencing. I wouldn't want foxes in my garden either - potentially leaving their fleas and parasites behind for my dogs to pick up.

Sorry OP, you can't deter them. Can you afford to have your fence dug into the ground as if it goes deep enough, and fence is high enough they won't get in.

Thanks everyone.

Unfortunatley we can't dig down. There is ditch so the ground drops away.

Google suggests various sprays as well as fencing.
