That's it really.
I just utterly love her.
She's a 3 year old rescue and she's the most perfect dog in the world except for barking at the postman every day, poor man

She's had a bath today and smells lovely and is snoring away contentedly.

Not really sure what the point of this is, I just wanted to let everybody know how lovely she is and I suspect my friends are sick of hearing about her Blush

Infinite - that's so my life too. As the kids got older they used to question why I kicked them out, but not the dog!

I love that excitement when you get home, mine also watches with big sad eyes through the now filthy window whenever i leave the house. Dogs are definitely the best.

I love all of mine too. One was PTS yesterday and feel like my heart is breaking.

TheGiantSausage · 01/12/2016 17:27

Oh Mimsy, I'm so sorry! Sad

Mimsy we lost our old girl on the 4th of Nov and have all been pretty broken by it.
Out of the blue on Monday we found out our young girl has incurable bone cancer. I've just confirmed the vet appt to let her go, at home with us all, next week.
It's so hard isn't it.
Seeing everyones' happy, gorgeous dogs is lovely though.
DDog 2 doesn't know she's ill so is currently loving all the fuss & previously forbidden treats.
She's had eggs on toast at the table with the DC for breakfast, sausage pasta (also at the table!!!) with the toddler DC for lunch and is having pork chops with us all for supper.
In between she's mainlined jerky, shortbread, marshmallows and my lovely treat cheese which no one else is allowed to eat.
There's a strange quality to the love we share with our dogs. It's not like any other relationship. I don't know how people manage without them.

Oh Sleight & mimsy I am so sorry! I got my beloved lab when I was 11 - she was my best friend and I loved her more than anything. She had an incredible innings for a lab, and we eventually had to have her PTS when I was 28. That was years ago now and we've had our little scruffball for 3 years, but I still miss my old dog all the time!

SapphireStrange · 01/12/2016 17:46

wicca, your black and white dog is hilarious in that photo!

These are all gorgeous. I don't have a dog but love them.

TheGiantSausage · 01/12/2016 18:12

Sleight, what a perfect way to say goodbye to your girl.... I imagine she's having the best week ever, eating all the treat food! And getting away with sitting at the table!
I'm really sorry to you. Flowers

We're cuddled up on the sofa eating biscuits. It doesn't feel real.
Lovely seeing everyone's gorgeous dogs here. Just the thread I need to keep me cheery for her.
