So, dog (8) has been having urinary tract infections for around a year now, first time we spent £750 on every scan, test, probe and screen. In the end they just gave antibiotics, has happened 3 more times since then, antibiotics.
This time, after the last being only 2 months ago, I spoke quite firmly that I needed to get to the bottom of this, x each episode lasts a couple of weeks of my boy being very uncomfortable and miserable.
Full urine tests again, all clear, so they've finally decided it must be his prostrate after all, he needs a scan tomorrow, (and blood tests again?) £500
Castration would solve it, but can take weeks to get urine back to normal, or there's prostrate shrinking medication, which works within a week.
Has anyone had any experience with this?
