What do you do with pup all day?

This morning I've moorhen around the garden twice, played sprinkles with breakfast, reinforced a couple of commands and she's now having a cuddle and nap on my knee.
It's only 07:30!
What do you do all day and how much time do you dedicate to play / training / sleeping?

Our pup is only 2 months old but I'm currently clicker training him. Seems to be going well, last night he only woke twice to pee and then went back into his crate without much fuss. Teaching him when he's biting and chasing the kids feet if we say 'stop' loudly and he follows, he'll get a click and a treat. He's been up since 6am but is now napping in his crate.
What puppy have you got?

She's a border terrier, 2 months old too.
Training going well, she is very eager to please and seems extremely food orientated which helps!
It's been a while since I've had a puppy in the house, trying to balance my want to spend every second with her and not over stimulating the poor mite.
Only up once last night, total result.
What breed is your pup Bigfam?

Jack russell. Yes, food/treats seem to be the favourite here too. He still sleeps quite a lot but when he is awake a lot of time is spent teaching him not to bite, I know he's a pup and will mouth because of teething etc but there is a point when it can go beyond that & we want to stop it before it starts.

Not reached land shark stage yet but the terrier in her loves killing her cuddly toy!

When mine was a pup I used to take him out for a five minute walk every few hours and do random training sessions throughout the day (a minute or two).

These days, I'm still at home with him but he ignores me and prefers to sleep in a different room to the one I'm in.

After his morning walk he often doesn't bother waking up until about 3pm for a drink (I go to work at 3.30) and then wakes up for when DH gets home at 6.30. He's only 4 and so lazy! Such a difference to the pup he used to be. He couldn't even be left alone for a second!

I'm surprised you can bear to put her down at all OP, she's gorgeous.

Do you take her out to see the world, even if she's too young to go on the ground - I can't remember if they've had all their jabs at that age - taking her out for carry walks can take up quite a bit of the day.

When ours was little, we got on with our normal day but adapted it around her. So we'd wake, let her out for a wee, give her breakfast, eat ours etc, then she'd have another little nap for an hour or two. Then she'd turn into a wild thing - day was spent normally getting slippers off her, playing, cleaning up the mess when she whacked her bowl over, playing 'football' in the garden etc. I remember toilet training took some doing - whenever she weed outside or on the puppy pads she got a biscuit. She napped quite a bit in the beggining, and loved human contact - getting her to sleep required cwtching her, then placing her in bed, then slowly walking backwards as she could sense the movements! When older, we took her on a walk 3x a day (after she'd had injections). Lots of cuddles and playing of course. Plus, any task was made twice as hard by her shadow like being - pegging washing out turned to a 25 min task as she wanted to come outside, but then chased birds/hid/growled/attempted to escape/ran off with pegs etc. Lots of time spent teaching not to bite, she loved toys for teething too so making sure she had lots of knotted toys, and pigs ears for a treat. Generally someone always had to be with her - not much difference to now really, but now she follows us around the place. I was 16 at the time and spent time reading puppy books - parents are of different generation so discussed rewards instead of punishments etc, it worked. Also, we didn't put her straight into her sleeping area but had her sleep with us a fortnight while getting used to her 'room' during the day, the length of time getting longer, from 5 mins at the start to 45 mins, to learn we'd always come back for her. She only had 3 modes - full on tazmanian devil, cwtchy puppy wanting cuddles, and conked out. Mam likened it to having a baby, especially as she slept on mams bed for the first fortnight so was up through the night.
