Hi! We are (not so) patiently waiting for a suitable dog to turn up in one of the 8 million rescues we've registered with. In the meantime I have become dog obsessed so show me yours please!

c.13 year old rescue lab, Lola, had her 7 years. Worlds most grateful dog. Came from council pound. Vet thinks she was used for puppy farming, then dumped.

Tinky I am convinced that my rescue has lurcher in her and she has a similar face to your dog. Very pretty.

The brown lab is Coco - we had her from a puppy. The black dog, Mia, is a rescue so we aren't sure exactly what she is. The Dogs' Trust had her down as a lab cross - and people who have seen her, and have pointers, are sure she is lab-pointer cross (we call her a pointerdor).

Mia is a bit needy and neurotic, but since she had two homes before being handed to the Dogs' Trust (and had a couple of litters, at least, in the first one), we reckon she's got a good excuse for a few neuroses.

She sneaks upstairs every night, around 2am, and curls up between dh and me on the bed, so we are left clinging to the edge of the mattress, half covered by what little duvet she has let us keep! But we love her.

Coco is as soft as butter - a bit dim but utterly lovable.

Oh - and the reason MIA is looking a little hang-dog in her photo is that she had just excavated yet another hole in the lawn, digging with her nose as well as her paws, and I had taken a picture of her muddy nose to send to dh as evidence of her perfidy.

I love that there are lots of rescues on this thread too

Honey, the most loving chocolate lab, another second hand dog. Now aged 10 and slowing down a bit, but still loves water and food.

And Nelly, the street dog from Romania. Cute as a button and very sweet, despite having lived through a lot in her first year of life before she came to us.
