He strolled in with our two year old & a bag of shopping, then said "find somewhere to put this" and pulled out our newly christened Bruno nn brew. He is so tiny!!

He's absolutely gorgeous - and you wanted a dog, you've discussed getting a dog, you were just waiting for the right one.
And there he is!!
Cutest little thing ever Grin

TitsTingle · 08/10/2016 09:36

He's beautiful x

WaitrosePigeon · 08/10/2016 09:37

Grin @ the miserable gits.

What a lovely present OP. I bet your heart is melting! Bruno is a great name.

Mummyoflittledragon · 08/10/2016 09:37

Ahhhh he's so cute. Dh wouldn't come to get our dog. He wanted a "real dog" as we used to have a lab (sulk, sulk). Dd and I wanted and got a cockapoo - for me it was because he's easier to manage. Dh eyes went gooey when our dog arrived and now loves him to bits. In honesty he isn't what dh or I would have chosen but he's a great dog. You will grow to love this one just as much. I may take over a year - as it has for me.

Iguessyourestuckwithme · 08/10/2016 09:38

Do you have all the equipment for a dog? Do you have the time to settle and train him?

NoahVale · 08/10/2016 09:39
NoahVale · 08/10/2016 09:39

All is good

Bigfam · 08/10/2016 09:40

Grin I am biased because your pup looks very similar to mine, who is very nearly 4 now - gorgeous. enjoy
TellMeStraight · 08/10/2016 09:43

Oh he is GORGEOUS!!! Great name.

ageingrunner · 08/10/2016 09:44

I can't see the problem as long as you wanted a dog and were definitely planning to get one very soon and know how to look after a puppy? I wouldn't have a clue so it wouldn't be good if someone got me a puppy, but this sounds like a different situation Smile

TellMeStraight · 08/10/2016 09:45

OP you mean a MAN went and bought associated supplies to go with the new puppy?! And he thought if this all my himself?! ShockShock

joins the head banging

blinkowl · 08/10/2016 09:47

Awww, what a beautiful puppy :)

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 08/10/2016 09:47

I nearly got a Tortoise for my birthday. I had talked for a long time about having one. I had done loads of research (as had my DP and my mum) but I didn't in the end because we decided we wanted to wait until DD was older and could appreciate a pet.

What a gorgeous puppy! You clearly know what to expect with your puppy and know how to care for him so having him as a surprise is lovely.

Madbengalmum · 08/10/2016 09:52

Dear god, what a bunch of miserable gits. Yet another bashing of an OP coming on to tell people exciting news!

The dog is clearly wanted, and gone to a home with dog experience and will be love. I really do despair of mumsnet sometimes.

Enjoy your puppy OP, he is lovely.

Pominoz1 · 08/10/2016 09:57

well I think that's lovely :)

Costacoffeeplease · 08/10/2016 09:59

Bunch of miserable gits

Who don't want anyone to get the impression that it is remotely acceptable to stroll in with bags of shopping and an unexpected puppy?

Happy to be a miserable git, shelters are overflowing with surprise puppy presents

WaitrosePigeon · 08/10/2016 10:09

At least this puppy will have a happy ending Grin

Littlebee76 · 08/10/2016 10:22

FFS costa needs to chill the F out!

This isn't a surprise present it's a family dog that they've discussed. Oh some people like to suck the fun out if everything!

OP gorgeous little pup that I'm sure you will give a very happy life too!

Bitzer · 08/10/2016 10:27

Wow at some of the miserable responses on here! He is delightful, and will obviously be very well cared for. Enjoy Smile

Bigfam · 08/10/2016 10:29

Costacoffeeplease
HE wasn't unexpected, we'd discussed in length about getting another dog. We know how to look after dogs, very well actually, between dp and I combined our family pets lived for 29 years. I was heartbroken when my jack russell died and I was so excited when dp 'surprised' me with gorgeous little Bruno. Try not ti worry, he wont be joining any of the dogs at the shelter.

See the op's op

Hopefully this one will have a happy ending - but with Christmas round the corner I can just see some people thinking 'I know, just the thing'

Had the op posted about the much waited for pup finally arriving, she would have got very different replies

Costacoffeeplease · 08/10/2016 10:30

Read your op again, as I said, different op, different replies

NoahVale · 08/10/2016 10:31

op jsut wanted to show off the picture.
she used a short snappy phrase.
