Looking for support

My beloved Staffie is really ill with what I understand to be the doggy equivalent of crones disease. He's wasting away and really sick but we're lucky to have a vet who is really trying to help us. Just looking for a bit of support on these long nights I'm lying awake with him.

So sorry to hear this heartbreaking news. I have no experience in crones disease so not much help but wanted to message you as I know how heartbreaking it is to see a beloved dog ill.
Is he on medication? Has the vet said he will recover?

We have been trying a mixture of antacids and steroids and low allergy food he's been loosing weight steadily but this weekend has been the worst and now he's refusing food. Back to vets in morning . Thanks for your message
