Finding our dog

Hi there. This is my first post in here though I have read a lot of your posts and been moved to tears by many.

I grew up with lots of dogs - we had six at one point, varying breeds. I've not had a dog since I've had a family of my own though. I'd love a Labrador or lab cross. I'd also love to rehome a dog. I've been combing the RSPCA for ages and all the breeds I'd be happy owning are always no children or much older children. My DCs are 9 and 6 and they are also quite little. DH and I are 5'5 and 5'3 respectively.

Can anyone advise where I can look for a rescue dog that will likely fit our family.

I am a SAHM so have plenty of time to devote to a new family member.

Thanks.

I should also add my DCs are happy around dogs as other family and friends have them.

Have a look at Dogs Trust website and search for labradors.

There's also a big list of lab specific rescues on the KC site.
