Bulldog having an operation today - what to expect?

Our nearly 8 year old bulldog is having two teeth extracted and the rest cleaned today. Neither DH or I have had a dog that has had an op before so unsure what to expect when we collect. Do they have pain medication? Will she be able to walk etc?

The vet didn't give us any info beforehand (it's a specialist bulldog vet) - DH took her but apparently didn't ask any questions (typical)!

They should give you pain medication if she needs it and yes she will be able to walk , they will ensure she is well recovered from the anaesthetic , has had a drink and a wee before they release her.

Ah fab. Just heard they ended up removing 9! :(

Oh poor thing , but better to have them out all at once rather than keep having to go under , did her teeth look that bad ?

No although her breath was horrid! We got her as a rescue 8 months ago and took her to this vet who said to wait for now as they weren't bothering her and being a bit older and a bulldog we didn't want her to have an anaesthetic unless necessary. But recently she has been madly rubbing her face along the floor, side of the sofa etc etc so we knew it needed to be done.

I hope she recovers well .
