There's a Play2Learn event on at my local today.
I picked up three bags of crap inches from where the kids were playing - and not one of them from my lab. In fact I didn't even have my girl with me.
What I did have was a roll of bags and a bit of common decency.
As far as I could see, only one owner has an excuse for not picking up - it was a guide dog on off-harness time and I do know their owners are excused.
HOWEVER I am astounded that the handler let his dog do it so close to where children were audibly playing,
I don't like picking up crap any more than any other dog owner - I like picking up cold, wet crap even less - but it's part of the deal we sign up to when we become dog owners.

I came home a couple of days ago to a pile of steaming dog shit on my front lawn and judging by the size and amount, it was probably a Great Dane or Newfoundland. Seriously who does that! And yesterday someone had lobbed their (full) poo bag onto my front lawn . I have quite a large front lawn and judging by its position, they had to have thrown it. Unfortunately I live in a road very close to a beach where dogs are allowed to be walk all year round at any time so every dog walker around walks down it. It's even more annoying that there are plenty of dog poo bins and signs to pick up your poo including ones painted on the pavements.

I'm seriously considering setting up some sort of camera to catch them. So angry.

I picked up dog's poop this morning and a further three that I found walking round the park. It's shocking isn't it.

IT must be the day for not picking up I noticed loads on the field where I usually walk this morning , way more than usual .

In the space of about 200 metres along a pavement today there were 7 piles of poop. Makes me so mad, picking up poop is part of the deal if you own a dog

Think there must be something in the air at the moment. I take my dog to our lovely country park every day - she refuses to go anywhere else - and noticed this morning how much poo had been left there.

Rather shocked tbh as normally people seem to be more responsible around here.

School holidays, of course, and the park was full of children playing out in the sunshine; they really don't need to take dog shit home on their shoes.

Makes me so angry.

I wonder if its bad at the moment because people are letting their children take the dogs out , it seems odd that we are all noticing it and it's the school holidays .

Just to add in fairness the person with guide dog may not be able to see the poo or dog doing

But I agree I hate it I always try pick my boys up have long handled scoop ) exempt as assistance dog )

This annoys the hell out of me. I live looking onto the village green and the amount of un picked up poo makes my blood boil. We've got numerous poo bins, theres no excuse.

Chair I have no problem with the guide dog owner not picking up - he is exempt after all - but why let it go on the side of the path with the football pitch (and playing children) rather then the smaller area of grass at the other side of the path?

And he did know his dog was pooing as he has stopped walking

There was a pile of dog poo on the promenade at the beach today. No wonder the council are trying to get dogs banned from the beach all year, even on lead. The place was full of holidaymakers and children. It's always an ignorant few that spoils it for everyone else.

Yup I agree should be better place /thinking

and most guide dogs /assistance dogs are taught to go in command as idea is that easier to pick up where someone can help

It can be quite frustrating, I feel you ...
