We're getting a puppy in October. We've got a full week off to help him/her settle in and as I only work 3 days that gives us 11 days straight to settle the pup into our home.

The plan is that the three days I work my dad and mum will look after the puppy which might include an overnight at their house occasionally.

So my question is should we introduce my parent's house into the routine straight away or wait for a few months until the dog is settled.

Straight away. (I know you didn't want to hear this, as you wanted 11 solid days cuddling his little squashy body, kissing his little wet nose, stroking his silky little fur and getting dizzy on the sweet, milky scent of his little puppy breath . . .

(No - I am not addicted! How dare you! Puppies - I can take 'em or leave 'em. Makes no difference to me. They're nothing to me - NOTHING, I tell you . . .

. . . . . You WILL post a picture, won't you?)
