Collecting puppy tomorrow - feeling panicked and unprepared!

We collect our much longed for Golden retriever puppy tomorrow. Is it normal to be feeling really nervous about it?

I don't know that I've got everything we need - is there a comprehensive list anywhere I can double check?

Am totally confused about things like where puppy will sleep first few nights - there seems to be so much contradicting advice out there.

Wildy I would say not to panic and with regards to where pup should sleep mine slept right in bed beside me for first 3 nights while we were doing lots of getting him used to the crate during the day once he was happily going in crate by himself for naps during the day we tried him at night and he hasn't looked back. We got our crate for £10 from gumtree so worth a look.
Also make sure you have a selection of things to chew from the beginning and if he starts chewing you or something you don't want him to distract him with something he can chew. A bit like a toddler really distraction works better than a row. Praise all the good and ignore as much of the bad as you can.
As long as you have his food in something that smells of his mum and littermates and lots of time and love to give you will be fine.
Definitely start as you mean to go on they really do pick up things so easily when they are small my 13 week old pup will sit and wait patiently until you tell him to go through the door or gate and waits until told to take his food. Will sit/ down/ stand on command and we are building up to these with more and more distractions we do lots of short sessions throughout each day and are really enjoying it. I was the same. We picked up last Friday and she has been a dream. No panic needed. She sleeps in her crate. She was happy to get in it and is now sleeping through with no toilet breaks.

We did try her in the kitchen in the crate and she didn't like that, so tried her on the landing and she is fine. We live in a three story house, our bedroom is first floor next to the living room so we spend a lot of time up here anyway.

She prefers sleeping in her crate.we have left her 3 times. For increasing amounts of time and she has been fine.

Toilet training has gone well. Just took her out every hour, after naps (and before if we notice she is looking tired) and after eating. She only messed in her crate, the first night.

We got up three time the first night to take her out, 2 the next night, once the night after that. Last night she slept through. I got up before her.

Sorry forgot to say, don't stress too much. Just see how it goes and if it's not going well, adjust things.

Aww soo exciting. Do you have a name yet? I cried when we got our boy (Rott and they are seriously cute puppies). Can't wait to see!!!

Questions I have so far!

He doesn't seem interested in food at all really, he is on a raw puppy diet which he apparently wolfed down at the breeders but apart from eating a bit from my finger he's ignoring it. Is this normal for first days home?

He went through the night with no accidents but did a big pee right by the back door as it obviously took me too long to get it open. I've been popping him back outside every 30 minutes but he just dashes back in the house. Make him stay outside (with me) till he does something?

My puppy won't go to the toilet until she has her food on a morning. Which lead to accidents. So we take her out and close the door behind us and stay out until she does something .

That's solved the problem. So I would take the puppy out and close the door behind you, until puppy has toileted.

I am not 100% on the eating. My puppy eats loads and want effected by this, but from what I read it can be quite normal for them not eat at first. But someone more experienced may have more advice or correct me.
