Have I broken all the rules?

Got my new puppy last Friday and he is adorable. Put him to bed first night and the crying and yelping was unbearable so I let him in my bed. I know this is not the advice we are given but he is so tiny and I just feel awful leaving him.
As I am not bothered about having him in my bed, is it not OK to continue??

That's good to know.

My next puppy comes in bed with me.

In my house we love "sleeping in the pack"! Everyone has their spot. It's a very pleasant arrangement. For a new puppy I'd say you def made the right call.

Just reading posts id missed. For dogs not yet toilet trained we put a lead on ours for a few nights until she learned to settle through the night. Otherwise once you fall asleep you have no idea what's happening until is happened!

Mine never had an accident in the bed

So I gave in as DP ( dear pup ) wouldnt settle in crate for the 2nd night even with me touching her from my bed and took her into bed this morning. She didnt have any accidents touch wood !

DH isnt fully on board even though he complains if he isnt getting enough cuddles with her .

I also worry about her falling off so like a baby she slept inbetween us with the duvet pushed down. We definitely need a bigger bed :)
