And I mean temporary. He is NOT staying I mean it

My MIL has been told by the council she has to rehome two of her dogs. She has 4 but the council policy is two dogs and three cats.

When she moved into the property with one dog and then got three more we did warn her but was fobbed off. Any ways it's come down to it now and after a big decision she's decided to rehome the two Yorkshire terriers
(She has one GSD, one Lab and two yorkies)

One of the yorkies is not getting on so well with the GSD so she has asked if we will take him until she can find a new home.

Dh was desperate to say yes so I've reluctantly agreed. I don't like Yorkshire terriers. It's silly I know but I just see no appeal in that breed.

He will be here later and I know he will be good with my children because my MIL has my kids occasionally. In fact Dylan (the dog) is my dd(3) best friend.

I will show you some pictures later when he comes. I just hope my cat doesn't go too nuts. Or that Dd becomes so attached that she won't want him to go

No he is pretty chilled out tbf

He has spent the entire time laying on the sofa with me or curled up in the chair with dh

Tried to walk him but he isn't used to it and he freaked. Will have to start little and often for him

I think you should ask MNHQ to amend your title to "our new dog arrives tomorrow."

NeedACleverNN · 12/06/2016 21:18

Ok ok ok I admit defeat!

Oh my word! So he's staying?! Yay!!!!

NeedACleverNN · 14/06/2016 08:53

Well the cat is not best impressed. She does keep going to swipe him but he is as submissive to her as he could be which seems to please her so yes he is staying

You lot are a load of wind up merchants! Wink Hope it goes okay OP, WHATEVER you decide to do Grin

NeedACleverNN · 14/06/2016 09:58

I knew I was fighting a losing battle anyway tbh.

I still don't like Yorkshire terriers but he can be the exception to that rule.

If he was bouncy and in your face, yappy and trying to chase the cat he would have been gone straight out of the door.

But he reminds me so much of my old jrt.
All he wants to do is sleep as close to you as possible and enjoy his little life

Aww, bless! The cat will always be top dog, and the dog will always come out worst if there are any altercations. By the look of it, the cat is bigger anyway Smile.

NeedACleverNN · 14/06/2016 15:25

No she's about a 2/3 rds of the size. The picture just gave a different angle but it won't be long and I think she will be bigger

That is a very cute picture Grin

OhNoNotMyBaby · 14/06/2016 17:14

Ha Ha. You fooled no-one OP. You were a gonna right from the start Grin.

So sweet! And I'm not a Yorkie lover, I'm a spaniel person myself.

LetThereBeCupcakes · 14/06/2016 17:18

Completely not the point, but your cat looks gorgeous! Lovely markings.

NeedACleverNN · 14/06/2016 18:10

The cat is literally a devil in disguise. She's going through a bitey phase at the moment and all she does its bite and scratch you every time you try to stroke her. She's only 13 weeks so I'll let her off for now. She has taken it upon herself to share my bed at night time now

The closet I've had them relaxing in the same space.

Is that you they're snuggling with? I'm jealous. DH has taken our snuggly dog away for the weekend and left me with aloof dog. Hmph.

NeedACleverNN · 17/06/2016 19:32

Yeah they are both we me. The cat is mine. The dog flits between the both of us.
DH is at work right now so he has no choice but to cuddle with me

honeyroar · 18/06/2016 20:57

He's lovely. What happened to his fellow Yorkie that needed rehoming too? Can't you squeeze him in too??

LetThereBeCupcakes · 18/06/2016 21:03

Ooh yes, it seems a terrible shame to break up the family any more than is necessary. And one more wouldn't really hurt, would it?

NeedACleverNN · 18/06/2016 21:22

She's already been sold on
