Tips and recommendations for tooth brushing

Just that really. She's an adult rescue dog. We've so far tried with a finger brush and Johnson's dog toothpaste but she's really not keen. Are any of the flavoured brands any good? Thanks!

Don't bother with anything made by Johnsons.

I find the best one is Logic both for cleaning and for acceptability - she seems to really like the flavour.

I read somewhere the other day that you need to work up to brushing for 5 minutes at a time. Don't know what sort of dog is going to sit there while you brush for 5 minutes, certainly not mine. Just about manage get the brush in and wiggle it about a bit. :)

Logic Oral Hygiene Gel is great stuff, as long as you can get it onto their teeth it works even if you can't give them a really good brush.

That was the main reason I got it as mine were never keen but they seem to really like the taste of it and are happy for me to give their teeth a quick brush with it.

Oh and Logic comes with a finger brush, which I find is the easiest way to do it.

Start out with just using your finger and progress from there.

I used to use Logic for cats on my cat (obviously) and they loved the flavour of that, so I think it's certainly worth going for a flavoured one.
