My 1.5 old puppy strolled off into the burn today and stood on a smashed piece of glass. Bleeding lots, turns out the glass has severed a tendon and also an artery Sad he's home now, bandaged up, and miserable. Back in 48 hours to change the dressing, and I'm aware that there's to be no walks etc but any other tips?
He's happily crated and will keep him on a short lead if he's around the house with me but I'm gutted, it was an awful experience.
Anyone else's dog ever had similar?

As you can't excercise him, mental stimulation is key.
I recommend a Snuffle Mat, Kongs or even just hiding treats around a room

Whenever my dog has had to be rested ( several times) I always take him out for a drive in the car once a day to replace one of his walks
