Need recommendations - teething 8 month old

DPup I think is teething. He's going through a bitey stage where he wants to chew anything (hairbrush, can out of recycling, kids trainers). Checked the back of his mouth and I think he has 4 big teeth coming through..

Is there anything really chewy I can give him? Pigs ears he devours in about 5 minutes flat, he's never taken to his antler, he likes his Kong but I tend to stuff and freeze that in case I have to leave him abit longer to go shopping.

Any ideas? I'll be passing pets at home tomorrow as well as the supermarket

Anco Roots might be worth a look, my lot love them. They're a bit easier to chew than antlers but still last really well.

Nylabones are very robust and go down well with our lab x puppy. Rawhide twists last a bit better than pigs ears - though unless abandoned in the garden still get chewed in a single session. We often jam a twist in a kong for a bit of stimulation (aka throwing around and 'killing') at the same time as a chew.

Not a fan of rawhide as its basically bleached leather (yummy!). A more natural alternative to it is beef tendons.
I'm also wary of antlers as they can cause slab fractures in the teeth. How about calves hooves? Or simply a good old-fashioned bone?

OP you say he goes through pigs ears quickly, where do you get them from? I found the ones at P@H were tiny (they are halved or quartered) and thin and lasted no time at all. I pay more at my local specialist pet shop but they are twice the size of my hand (so full size) thick and hairy. They last far longer.

Freeze whole carrots and broccoli stalks. The cold really helps numb the pain.

Nylabones are brilliant. Probably saved me a fortune in damaged furniture. I found it was best to buy a size up with teething puppies. The ones my dog has as a 7yo were bought when he was around 6 months old.

For teething anything cold is usually greatly appreciated. A Kong filled with dry food that's soaked with water and frozen is a good one for mealtimes. Ours loved ice cubes, but Im not sure if that's actually a good idea. Frozen fruit and veg would be safe enough though. Depending on the dog a proper raw bone would be good, but although mine loved them his insides didn't cope so well.

My teenage pup likes the treats shaped like crocodiles and hedgehogs, can't remember what they're called but they have them at pets at home, and a lot of vets sell them. They're quite hard so take a lot of gnawing.

Fish skin bars are great, really tough to chew.

I find kibble-filled ice cubes (just one piece of food) can work well.

Thank you for all the suggestions and sorry it's taken me so long to get back to MN. Have been freezing veg for him this weekend, and bought some bones from pets at home, both of which he's enjoyed. Not enough to want to stop chewing other things though!

Where are the fish skins from? He loves fish and I've bought Lily's fish skins before but again that type don't last him very long greedy beagle. Will look out for thick hairy pigs ears too as the I had been buying were definitely thin and not very big.

My lot enjoy fish skin flats and fishy chew sticks from Millies Wolfheart.

The other natural treats from MWH are worth a look as well, the whistleblowers take a fair bit of chewing and I've not tried them but I think the pig snouts probably do as well.

I bought fish chews here last time. The big bars are massive and last for ages. I think slightly cheaper than Millies as well
