So, currently have Dave who is a pug,he will be 1 year old in 1 week.

When we had him (July last year), I toyed with the idea of two but decided that one was enough for now. Anyway, DH has been very week in talking about another pug and I'm unsure if it's a good idea or not.

Dave is neutered, getting over his teenage stage and quite a loveable little chap. He loves other dogs company, we regularly go walking with my mums Tibetan, and on the only day of the week where there is someone out for more than 3 hours I have a dog sitter come in for an hour and play etc.

We would be looking more towards the end of the year but wanted to ask other pug owners for their advice and whether we should look at male or female and so on..... Cost, vet fees and insurance are no problems.

Would like to rehome rather than buy from a breeder but would we need to look at a younger one than Dave?

Any advice greatly appreciated!

We introduced a pug x lhasa (mongrel) as a puppy to our female pug who was five at the time. They adore each other. I think a male and female go well together.
