Min Pins

I am looking at getting a new puppy.

I do not want a big dog and I have thought about getting a Min Pin.

Are these dogs a good choice for families with you children and there any precautions or methods to use to bring the new puppy safely into the family?

They're very much big dogs in small bodies and are very active and intelligent. They need a good amount of exercise and mental stimulation.

Are you in the UK? They're not hugely common here, only a few hundred are bred each year so you may find it'll be a bit of a wait to get one from a decent breeder. I don't think they've really attracted the attention of puppy farmers yet but being a small, cute breed I'd be extra careful when researching breeders.

The breed club has got lots of good information about them and would always be my first port of call when looking for a pedigree puppy.
