How long until I can treat for ticks again?

My little dog went walk about and came back full of ticks. I had a cheap treatment in the cupboard so used it on her but after 3 days they're still on her. Should I give it longer to work or can I apply frontline now?

What was the first treatment you used?

IMO it would be better to use a tick hook to remove them swiftly and leave the Frontline in favour of a repellent product like Advantix.

I've been removing the ones I can but there are loads of tiny ones that are impossible to get off. I used spot on, it was just a cheap one I had to hand.
