Worst buy ever for your dog?!

I can tell you right away that mine is the doggy dry bag. I LOVED the idea of this for my shaggy Shih Tzu pup, who attracts dirt and water on his walks like a mop. Reality hasn't stacked up! Have just used it for the first time and it turned my normally placid pup into a raging, snarling beast! He hated being put in it and not being able to feel his feet, and wriggled straight back out. Oh dear, not one of my better buys (and a fairly pricey mistake too) ...

My bichon cross loves the dry bag! He curls up and falls asleep in it.

We have spent a ridiculous amount of money on stuffed toys which are ripped apart in minutes and make a crazy amount of mess! We've also wasted money on multiple beds which are torn to shreds.

Hi eggs. My pup isn't in the least bit destructive, and all his toys and bedding are still in tact. He has his faults bless him, but I guess we're lucky in that regard.
Did you introduce yours to the dry bag at a very early age? Must admit that I didn't think it would go so hideously wrong.

Ddog is only destructive with his toys mainly. His recent bed has survived so far. The dry bag was only bought about a year ago, ddog is 2 and a half. He hates the hair drier, and runs about crazy when he is wet to try and dry off, so it was a necessity!

I didn't use a dry bag until dog was about 2 yrs old , when I first used it I sat him in it and then sat him on my lap , didn't take him too many times to get used to it .

A partial worst was a memory foam dog bed from ebay. The removable covers got shredded within days as ddog2 seemed to love chewing the velcro closures. The inside bit has stayed intact though, so just gets a fleece over it

Floralnomad, he's not a lap dog alas. In fact, he's not very true to type, as being lap dogs is pretty much what they were bred for!

Mines not a lap dog either but he's always up for a cuddle ! He's 5 now and it's only in the last year that he's had beds that he hasn't destroyed within 2 days , he also massacres most dog toys within seconds , loves his bag though and like pp dog he is happy to sleep in it .

Trust mine to be the exception! Isn't mad on cuddles either. wonders if autism exists in dogs

DDog appeared to be on his last legs but wanted to spend more and more time outside. I was worried about him getting cold.

I think he's only been in it once and that was because I put a bone at the back of it.

Not particularly expensive but one of those boots you put on an injured paw. Soft material done up with Velcro. Lasted about five minutes. Would not stay on. Tried a different sort. Ditto. Utter waste of time.

Anything toy or chew that remotely smells like meat. It's all very nice to start with, they run around with them, push them along with their lovely black noses, roll over and stare, upside down, at them.
Then one thinks the other one is looking at theirs in a rather avaricious manner and instant hatred of each other kicks in.
Give them real meat, or a splodge of gravy in their dinner and they're absolutely fine.
