Teddy was a close 2nd, in fact he was called that for a few hours but DH thought it was only really appropriate for a puppy and might be daft when he got bigger.

when my dog went into the vets for a procedure he was one of 4 dogs in that day and the only one not called Teddy , must have been a nightmare when people were ringing to check on their dogs progress , it's incredibly popular at the moment.

My Shih Tzu pup is Teddy, and I've never met another! I love it because he is always going to look like a chunky, cuddly wee fluffball, even in adulthood. Bear was our back-up name.

Don't forget King Edward VII was called Bertie all his life, so pup can be Prince Bertie, or King Edward (not to be confused with a potato, of course!)
