Our boxer puppy is 13 weeks and proving very difficult to house train.

We've had three dogs I. The past who have all got it in a week or two.

We've done everything by the book, lots of praise when she goes outside, taking her out regularly but the problem is she won't cry to go out.

She poos under the table and pees in her bed. She was very nervous when we first got her and took a while to come out of her shell so wondering if she's scared to cry to go out?

I think 13 weeks is way too little with the majority of dogs to expect them to ask to go out so I think you need to adjust your expectations .

I spoke to our vet who is also a behaviourist. She said she should have pretty much got it by now at 13 weeks.

She said some dogs do take longer and gave some advice, but I was hoping to speak to someone who'd been in a similar situation.

Most dogs aren't reliably trained until 8 months. If you look at the files in the Facebook group 'Dog Training Advice and Support' there is an excellent one on toilet training.
