Feeding advice please

Relatively new owner here. I usually feed my dog twice a day - breakfast and around 5.30pm. We are going out for the day tomorrow and will be travelling home between 6 and 8pm. I'm not sure whether to feed before we leave or when we get home? She has been car sick before so I'm veering towards leaving it until we get home but worried that she will get over hungry. I'm probably overthinking this but advice appreciated.

I always go for later if I have to change my dogs routine .

depends on your type of ddog really.

big dogs can go 24 hours without eating as part of a healthy diet (or recovery from sickness) - but very little dogs won't cope well going long without food and can be more faddy.

with a medium/larger breed i wouldn't stick rigidly to a time, otherwise you then make a rod and will get pestered setting up bad habits potentially, same with walks.
