What do you pay? Is it hourly? So your dog gets one hour walk and then home again?

What about an overnight home from home stay? What do you think is a reasonable?

I pay £30 over night stay but that's with a home boarder stays in her house not kennels and she is happy to raw feed
Walk is £10 if regular add hoc is £12 (but if you have regular walk then need extra only normal rate )
Weekend walk is £15 .Walks have no set time limit as such depends on dogs needs so my lab can be out for anything from 90 mins to over two hours depending what other dogs have as he is do steady/laid back she sometimes take out with other dogs that need extra doggy reassurance

Then do you take the dog home after the walk then?

I pay £17 for a walk but he's usually out for about 3 hours including travelling time. That's a bit more than the going rate round here (London) but most of the other dog walkers troop a group of dogs once round the local common whereas my dogwalker takes them to Richmond Park or Wimbledon common where they can have a really good off-lead romp. He's also very good at matching dogs so my dog usually only goes out with other retrievers, labs and spaniels. He picks up and drops the dogs off again. It's £21 for half day care which is two walks and he's out from 9-3 and £34 for home boarding

So if someone offered a service at £8 per 50 minute walk plus five hours at home with an acre plot for a garden, you'd think that was a good price? In Hertfordshire?

And £15 for an overnight stay in a family doggy friendly environment?

Sorry should add dog walker collects and drops of and she actually does collect and drop of when boarding as she knows I don't drive

Hmm I would want to know what experience you have also that insurance certificates are in place and where my dog be staying and with who (other dogs etc )

I'd think it was too cheap and wonder what corners you'd be cutting tbh

I think that you have to be licensed by the council if you provide boarding

I would check that you have personal libality insurance as protection for you just in case

50 min walk is it on or off lead ?.If you are friends then can't see why not work it

Off lead. We often walk our dogs together it's just that sometimes I have to work.

I pay £11 for a walk 1.5-3 hours, £17 for full day care and £23 for boarding in my dog walkers house. I have two dog walkers who dog share and they are brilliant. Live in Home Counties.

I pay £9 for 45 minute dog walk..including travelling dog is out for more than an hr. Its off lead in new forest.

I would think £8 is too cheap. I think with the extra 5 hrs in her care you should be paying more like £20 at least

I pay £12 for an hours walk but it is normally longer than that. I have a giant breed, so it was important to me that my dog walker wasn't taking 6-8 dogs out at once with mine (I want to know he is under control and not running riot) , my dog walker has all the appropriate insurance and in trained in canine first aid.

I am in Hertfordshire - it seems to cheap, I would check how many dogs she is walking at once, and that she is insured.

There's was a dog walker who used to walk at heartwood forest who would have - huge number of dogs in her care.... The worst thing was she would leave half in her van (all barking, crying and howling) while she walked half and then swap them over...... It was awful, esp in hot summer days.

I pay £10 ph here - my dogs only and on lead at my request. I know someone else who pays £8 but their dog is walked with several others.

I pay a neighbour £10 for a 20-30min walk for the 3 dogs. She goes over a field near us and let's them off. If I use proper dog walker it's £14 for them for 30mins on lead. Dog sitter over night is £20 a night for first dog and £10 for 2nd and 3rd dogs.

I have a fabulous dog walker who is a long time family friend and she takes my dog for a full day each week 830-5.
She only asks for £5 a day but I give her more. She takes ddog when we go on holiday for the same daily rate, and he loves her to bits.
When I started looking for a dog walker most quotes I got were £12 an hour.
I'm a SAHM so don't really need the walking done but it's more so he can socialise wits other dogs because I have awful allergies.

I pay 10 it's meant to be per walk but always 2-4 hours
