Training and socialising.

Puppy is 10 weeks old and so far so good. Loves being in the garden and plays well with DC.
It will go outside to use the toilet, 90% success rate and getting really good the past week more like 95% success rate.
How do I take this to the next level? I hear about puppy socialising but he can't go outside properly till the after Christmas, his 2nd jab is due Christmas week?
I've looked into puppy socialising and puppy classes but you can't take them untill they have had their jabs? What should I be doing next?

You should be getting him out and about in public, even though it means carrying him at this point.

You need them to experience the outside world but protect them from picking up any diseases. So you take them out and carry them.. let them experience new sights and noises, for example I took mine out when the rubbish van went past, allowed her to meet the postman etc. You could also allow them to socialise with other dogs that have been vaccinated.

Our puppy is 13 weeks tomorrow and we have had him for almost 3 weeks, he had first set of vacs but we had to restart as vet used different brand and wanted to restart so finally had last vaccinations last week and fro today was allowed for walks on the ground rather than the garden/drive. the 3 weeks we have had him, we have taken him on the school run and i have held him (he met 600+ children, lots lf adults with hats, umbrellas, men with beards, seen lots and lots of dogs plus the traffic from the minored so trucks, buses, bin lorry, bikes, scooters, motorbikes) we live very close to a rover so carried him there to see the s
ducks/swans and birds. he has also been to my in laws and met the rabbit, fish and cat! he is very happy with all these noises now and although his ears prick up at new sounds he isn't alarmed/frightened (the train track runs near the river and the train horn always surprises him!) we had a short 15 minute walk by river today and he came home and slept for 3 hours think the walking/sounds/smells (he is a cocker spaniel so nose constantly o the ground) wore him out. funny enough he came indoors and went straight to back door and waited to be let out to have a wee so need to retrain him in time to wee on walks!
