Crushing worming tablets

Anyone knows if crushing worming tablets would have effect on its effectiveness? Does it need to be swallowed whole?
I'm having problems getting my dog to take the tablet. I tried wrapping it in ham or cheese. Hiding it inside a sausage. He just chews and spits it out. I tried throwing treats for him to catch and then throw the tablet.

I'm thinking of just crushing it and roll it tightly in a piece of ham.

It depends on the type of tablets. It's ok for some, not advised for others. Do you have the information leaflet that comes with the tablets?

I give my dog Drontal Plus and it's ok to crush those. I usually crush the tablet and then mix it with a bit of cream cheese. She loves cheese Grin

I use panacur granules, and you just sprinkle and mix with food, no need to crush. Pets at home stock them.
