We are going to meet one at a rescue on Saturday, he's 3 years old and described as a giddy kipper, who is very happy and loves everyone.

At home there is myself (SAHM), DH who works full time, DD who is 4 and is at school full time and our greyhound who sleeps full time :o

I've researched BT's but that can only get you so far, I figured MN would be a good place to hear some real life experience! My friend has a BT x Patterdale who we see fairly often so I have a bit of experience with them but I'd like to hear others views.

I'm so excited, there's been a lot of interest in him so we'll be very lucky if we get to adopt him :)

Think I have the oddest bt on the planet. Doesn't chase anything, doesn't leave my side on a walk, sticks to me like glue. My theory is because he went straight into training at 3 months. We were very strict with him. He doesn't need a lead anywhere, but I put him on on pavements otherwise we will freak out the car drivers.

My dd did YouTube tutorial and learned how to strip him. No way will I have anyone else strip him. I don't know how he'd be treated, and he'd wonder where he was. Dd does him just a little every 3 weeks or so.

They are the most wonderful loyal big dog in a little dogs body. But they do need to be well socialised and we'll trained or they can be unruly.

My lab plays with one on our walks quite often and also dog walker has couple that she walks and they are all pretty social and ok

One on our walk is not keen on being bounced around to much but my boy laid back so more a good game of chase

Exp has a bt bitch about 6 I think she was a bloody gorgeous dog. Amazing with the kids and very loving and patient. They are on my shortlist for a second dog for us with our cocker.

We got the little girl, brought her home for a 2 week trial 3 weeks ago and she is still here Xmas Grin she was called Rye but we renamed her Holly. She is luffly and no trouble at all.

The pink t-shirt is because she was spayed last week and was licking her stitches.

Gorgeous! You won't regret owning one. Especially when having a cuddle!
