To cold to swim

Am asking as my boy jumped into the river with his normal joy and had good swim .Then someone started muttering that it's to cold for dogs to swim and will make him I'll

He is a Labrador if that makes any difference

My boy has happily been swimming in the river today and just ignored any stares and shall happily carry on letting him swim as and when he wants

Aww SweetLathyrus my old boy was a working cocker. He bloody loved water, he'd throw himself in at every opportunity. Dh says he wasn't keen as a pup but I can't remember.
